幕后制作
本片由曾出演《葬礼》（The Funeral）的Vincent Gallo编剧导演，并出演男主角Billy。这是Vincent Gallo的处女作，片中屡见灵光乍现之处，并能明显看出导演本人受新浪潮电影，特别是John Cassavetes的影响之深，这亦成为影片被部分评论家诟病的原因之一。本片曾在Independent Spirit Award上被提名为当年最佳处女作，饰演Layla的Christina Ricci获全美电影评论学会（National Board Of Review）颁发最佳女配角奖。值得一提的是，Vincent Gallo本人也是一名杰出的音乐人，曾在著名电子厂牌Warp!旗下发表多张专辑，也参与了本片的配乐创作。
